BONNIE UPDATE – ADOPTION SUCCESSFUL
When I first laid eyes on Bonnie at the pound, with her big beautiful confused eyes and her obvious ear & skin infections, I knew we’d be back to liberate her, care for her and eventually find her a wonderful forever home.
With an abundance of outlandish energy, strength & zeal, Bonnie was quite a handful for her esteemed foster-carers, who persevered through much footwear theft, fly-screen decimation and abundant garden burrowing (she even successfully dug down to the water-table on one occasion).
Nevertheless, she stole all our hearts and emerged as Beautiful Bonnie – a girl who deserved an equally beautiful & loving home.
Enter Bret and family, who adored her from the outset, but went home and took the time & trouble to erect a safe enclosure for Bonnie, before welcoming her to her new fabulous home and beach-going lifestyle. Bret has even had huge success in ridding the darling girl of her recurring skin infection.

Beautiful Bonnie (named by her foster carers) was an abandoned dog that BDR recently rescued from the pound.
Approximately 1-year-old, Bonnie is a Staffy Kelpie Boxer cross.
Since her rescue, Bonnie has been fully vaccinated, desexed, tick/flea/worm treated, nails trimmed, had her yeast/fungal ear and skin infections treated and is enjoying an abundance of love, attention and fun times with her fabulous foster carers.
She is flourishing & happy and now, easy & relaxed. Bonnie is gentle & affectionate, enjoys going for walks and engaging with people and other dogs. She has good recall but will need further training as she is very strong and loves propelling herself enthusiastically through the air to land welcomingly but powerfully on everyone she meets! Hence, not particularly suited to smaller children at this stage.
