KELA UPDATE – SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED

Border Collie x Kelpie ‘Kela’ was surrendered into our care when he was 5-months old. He lived happily at our open-air shelter for 7-months, but so desperately needed his own person!!
Oddly, because Kela is a very healthy sweet and handsome boy, no one showed any interest in him until Georgie came for a visit on his 1st birthday. She only had eyes for Kela and wasn’t bothered by his inherited ball-obsession.
Kela has settled in with Georgie remarkably quickly. He hangs out at work with her, chills at home and enjoys his twice daily runs on the beach. They absolutely adore each other and Kela has been such an excellent boy, learning new skills swiftly and becoming Georgie’s goodest and bestest mate.
We are sooooooo proud and happy for you Kela. And thank you Georgie for giving him the chance he so truly needed 👍👏💓
5½-month-old male Border Collie x Kelpie ‘Kela’ is in need of a new home.
Cutie sweetie boy Kela was originally rescued from a distressing farm situation by a kind hearted young woman who soon realised her situation is not ideal for such a bright and energetic pup.
In order to curb Kela’s descent into complete ball obsession, he needs a home where he will receive not only lots of exercise but continuing training and lots of mental stimulation. Kela has enjoyed some professional training and will sit, stay and lie down. He will also benefit from further nip-inhibition guidance.
Kela is initially a tad shy with other dogs but then loves to play. He has lived amiably with a cat but will chase chickens. He soaks up the attention from children and loves his evening snuggles.
