Donations to BYRON DOG RESCUE/CAWI translate into second chances for some of the homeless companion animals in our shire. Your generosity will enable us to cover the costs of:
- extensive veterinary expenses (including, but not limited to), de-sexing, micro-chipping and vaccinating
- food, bedding, parasite prevention, collars, leads, ID tags, toys and other on-going canine maintenance costs
- advertising of dogs for adoption on the radio and in newspapers
- professional dog trainers where necessary, to bring out the best in our dogs (and their owners)
MOST importantly your contribution will add to our building fund for BYRON DOG RESCUE’s Animal Adoption Centre.

Barco is a voluntary not for profit organisation who run dog obedience classes to teach people how to be responsible dog owners. Training sessions are each Sunday morning starting at 9am at Brunswick Heads sports fields. If you are fostering a Byron Dog Rescue dog the training is free for that dog. For all other dog owners, once the $20 yearly registration fee is paid, the only other cost is only $5 each time you attend training.
