5-year-old desexed male Border Collie x Kelpie ‘Mundy’ is in need of a new home.
Mundy is a real sweetie with a complex character.
He loves routines and initially doesn’t react well to new situations, odd noises, people or other dogs. Having stated that though; when Angeji the Basenji and I took Mundy on an outing yesterday, his behaviour was exemplary.
Similarly, when he frequently has stays at Heidi’s Houndstay’s Dog Boarding facility; his behaviour has also always been exemplary, especially with all the other dogs.
To recap:
– Mundy likes people, but simply needs a proper introduction as he freaks out to begin with, but 60 seconds later loves everyone, particularly their pats and cuddles.
– He seems to have some fear reactivity with other dogs when he’s on-leash or they come onto his property unannounced, but is fine with other dogs when off-leash in a social setting.
Because of this somewhat unpredictable behaviour, we would not recommend Mundy with young children and he would probably prefer to be an only dog with folk who are confident around dogs.
