MAXIMUS UPDATE – SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED

After rescuing Maximus from the Byron Council Pound, where he’d been for 2 full weeks; 4-year-old Bull Arab x ‘Max’ then enjoyed 2-weeks in tender loving foster-care, where he soon recovered from the profound anxiety he had experienced waiting for someone to claim him.

We had Max health-checked, updated his vaccinations and treated his ear infection successfully.

It was now time for this gorgeous, well-mannered boy to meet a gentle, loving family who were keen to offer a dog in need a loving home (after losing their cherished 15-year-old Labrador to old age).

After three love-filled meet-ups, Max was welcomed into his new home where he relaxed & fitted in quickly – “we love him so much and honestly it feels like he’s been with us since he was a puppy ‘cos he’s so happy and settled”.

Happy days Max – your future is lit with so much love, light & care  😍😍 🐚

Meet Maximus, a 4-year-old de-sexed male Staffy x Red Cattle Dog (Bull Arab x).

We rescued Max from the pound on Thursday, after his obligatory 2-week stay there. He was super excited to meet us; ran around delightfully with Angeji the Basenji and quite literally jumped into my lap for cuddles. From what we can glean, Max is a Queenslander who was abandoned at Brunswick Heads.

We are at a loss to understand why anyone would abandon Max because he is an absolute darling sweetheart. Super affectionate, very well trained; offers his paw before eating, waits for the OK to come inside.

After 2-weeks in the pound all by himself, Max is suffering some emotional trauma and is exhausted. He’s now enjoying charmed convalescence and recuperation with foster-carer Donna (I Love a Dog).

Max is great with children and other dogs. Apart from a slight ear infection (which Donna is treating with silver colloidal and plenty of omega-3 fish oils), Max is in excellent health.

He’s a big sook and so desperately likes to please. If chastised, he curls up in the tiniest little ball. Max is adorable and will make a fantastic family or companion dog.
