HARLY (Harlequin) ADOPTION
Handsome heartthrob ‘Harly’ is a 4-year-old desexed male Dalmatian x German Shorthaired Pointer who is needing a new home.
Harly has lived on an unfenced property and doesn’t wander. He is also comfortable with chickens and wildlife and doesn’t chase. He’s an intelligent and gorgeous natured boy who loves car travel and children, especially if they want to play ball.
He is quite protective of those he loves, his home and his belongings. To this end, he displays resource guarding behaviours towards other dogs and he will need some further training in this area. Once he gets to know other dogs he is friendly enough. He will bark to let you know someone is entering your property, and then stops.
Unfortunately, Harly suffers from severe separation anxiety and will cry, howl and bark if left alone. To this end he would suit a family where someone is home all the time or a property with multi-generational living, a big family or another dog. He’d also make a loyal companion for a tradie who could take him everywhere.
