Gemma’s Beautiful Journey:

Gemma was rescued by and surrendered to a local Coorabell woman, from an intolerably inexcusable situation in Grafton… found restrained on a 1-metre length chain without comfort, shelter or regular food… Gemma was emaciated and fearful.

Unable to stay with her rescuer, she was entrusted to CAWI’s Rescue/Adoption officer who had her assessed by the Furry Dog Mother and then placed into tender loving foster care in Brunswick Heads for over 2 weeks rehabilitation.

Gemma’s life has changed forever. Amazing with children and a gentle graceful clever intuitive loving dog, Gemma has now been adopted by an adoring family (with 2 young children) who live on a rural property and visit the beach regularly.

Voluminous thanks to everyone involved in Gemma’s liberation, recovery and renaissance
