GILBERT (now Boof) ADOPTION SUCCESS

When our dog-friend & companion passes away, sometimes our loss can only be relieved by the sweet arrival of a new canine friend, to nurture & love.

Stephen wasn’t considering this, when he forlornly wandered into the CAWI/BDR Opportunity shop in Brunswick Heads, the day after his big old buddy had been euthanised.

He was expressing his sadness to the shop volunteers when I (Shell) turned up. I suggested he might like to meet soft, gentle-giant in the making; Gilbert. Without hesitation, Stephen met Gilbert the very next day, fell truly madly deeply and adopted Boof 2 days later.

Watching the brand-new big smile and jaunty gait of Stephen & Boof as they walked together to their car was utterly uplifting. Boof & Stephen – a match made in heaven!

Meet little Gilbert, who is going to burgeon into gentle-giant Gilbert.
He’s a 12-week-old Bull Arab / Mastiff / Staffy x with a shy demure disposition. He’s been tested for parvovirus (all clear), microchipped & vaccinated.
Gilbert arrived in Byron Dog Rescues care after a conniving individual visited school playgrounds with the offer of free pups. Some parents were surprised to discover and unable to keep their new family member.
Please phone Shell on 0458461935 if you can offer Gilbert the loving safe home he requires.
