TED’S STORY – Yet another Foster-Fail Alert!!

Dear little 2-year-old Jack Russell x Cavalier – Ted, pretty much had spent his life on the farm with other large farm dogs, before his surrender. Although well-fed & cared-for, none of the dogs had experienced “a bed” and had fended for themselves 100% outside.

When Ted arrived at his foster carers place, he was nevertheless invited inside where he instantly began to mark his new territory. He got yummy treats if he pee’ed outside, but soon learned, he could get a treat even if he mimicked peeing outside💡. Notwithstanding, Ted’s house-training is coming along well.

Ted took to his new bed like a duck to water, but unlike his new doggy companion Jack (another BDR rescue dog), he also quickly took to couch-sitting – from where he can peruse his new domain 👑.

As you can see from the pics, Ted admirably schmoozed his foster-carer from Day 1.

Even though her instruction to me was “whatever you do, don’t let me adopt Ted!”, within 3 days I had received the call – “I’m adopting him. He’s just gorgeous”.

Now successfully adopted, Ted is flourishing & enjoying all the attention, love, burgeoning friendship with Jack and twice-daily walks on the beach. What a clever boy you are Ted! 😍🐚
