BAILEY UPDATE – SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED

For some time, retired couple the Bailey’s, have been on the lookout to adopt a rescue dog after their beloved old dog passed away.

When they spotted ‘Bailey’s’ post, they knew he was the dog for them.

Irene and Stuart can’t speak highly enough about Bailey. He has settled into their home and lives very comfortably, swiftly seizing the opportunity to claim the exact spot on the sofa that his brother ‘Jeff’ had always claimed and guarded earnestly in their previous home.

Irene says; Bailey is such a good boy, we couldn’t ask for a better behaved dog. He’s also become the neighbourhood darling, receiving daily compliments attesting to his gorgeousness and obedience while on his walks – it’s a pleasure to take him out. He gets on with the other dogs at the park. We love him!

Bailey has made zero attempts to escape from his very well-fenced yard and loves lying about on the front patio watching all the passers-by. It’s so lovely to see Bailey recognising a great opportunity and behaving in such an exemplary manner. Hooray for the Bailey’s!!  💞

Meet Bailey, a desexed male 5-year-7-month-old, wait for it… Jack Russell x Husky!

Bailey is a super soft, sweet, gentle natured boy with humans. He is also great with children and loves hanging out with the family.

He is good with other dogs when out and about.

Bailey has been living with his brother and mum since birth, and they have unfortunately formed a formidable little pack. With the hunting skills of the Jack Russell and the high prey drive of the Husky, all three have been escaping their yard and have very sadly killed a neighbour’s cat. They are also very unfriendly towards visiting dogs.

We are hopeful that by rehoming all three dogs separately, their desire for escaping, ganging-up and hunting will be diminished.

Bailey will need an extremely secure yard and could only be walked off-leash in a fenced dog-park (a soft muzzle may also help).

He is responsive to commands, but will need more training and needs to learn some better boundaries.
