OREO UPDATE – SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED
Big strong gorgeous softie boy ‘Oreo’ aka ‘Piglet’ a Bull Terrier x Amstaff arrived into BDR’s care ten months ago. He enjoyed most of that time in fabulous foster-care with Joanna & Andrew and their other big gorgeous boy ‘Poncho’ (with occasional respite stays at our Rescue Centre).
Joanna had drawn the picture of her ideal dog four years ago – two years before Oreo was even born – CAN YOU SEE THE UNCANNY LIKENESS?! 🐶🐶
Although Joanna remained in denial about this for 9-months (due to the fact that Oreo presented with a number of challenging issues; extreme fear of travelling in cars if raining, anxiety and youthful boisterousness), she ultimately acknowledged that life without Oreo was unimaginable.
Joanna, Andrew and Poncho are all delighted with their decision to adopt Piglet…. and of course Piglet couldn’t be happier 💞
Another victim of the no-pet housing market in this region, 2-year-old desexed male Staffy x Bull Terrier ‘Oreo’ is looking for a new, stable forever home.
Oreo is an absolute sweetie. He’s excellent with other dogs, does chase cats but also loves to play with them and has shown little interest in chickens. He would need time to adjust to larger farm animals.
He’s a big strong boy who responds well to commands but does need further training, especially around jumping up on people. For this reason, he would be suited to older children at this time.
Oreo is gorgeous; playful, charming and loving. At home he is chill. At the beach he loves to run & run.
When he first arrived into care, Oreo suffered from noise-triggered anxiety, but with a stable, calm and loving environment, he is settling beautifully.
