😍 NORMAN ADOPTION 😍

At only 11-months-old, desexed male Rhodesian Ridgeback x Pointer ‘Norm’ has already lived through a lifetime of pain and pleasure. This has resulted in a very special boy with so much love to give.

Norm was born to free-ranging dogs on Palm Island in northern Queensland. Unfortunately for Norm, he entered his world as an extremely demure-natured wee pup. His scavenging and dog-fighting skills were non-existent, leaving him battered, mange-ridden and starving.

Thanks to the Island’s Angels – a group of Australian and NZ nurses working at the local hospital – Norman was befriended and placed on a roster of feeding. The besotted nurses took him swimming and kayaking and Nurse Anita organised for him to be vaccinated, desexed and mite/flea/tick/worm treated with the help of local pet rescue group Angel-Paws.

Due to Norm’s loving, affectionate, gentle, chilled temperament, Anita felt that he simply wouldn’t survive life on the island so she organised for him to be flown to the Northern Rivers.

Norm is now learning lots of new commands in fabulous foster-care; he’s excellent on-leash and is great with other dogs. Norm will need ongoing training particularly with recall, jumping and bite-inhibition.

Norm is a big, gorgeous, gentle boy and we would love to see him adopted by a family or companion who will continue to love and care for him in the manner he is now accustomed to.
