Byron Dog Rescue has been engaged to find appropriate, suitable, experienced, loving new homes for gorgeous little purebred, desexed male 2-year-5-month-old Miniature Longhaired Dachshund ‘Scooby’ (and his brother ‘Scrappy’).
We will rehome separately, but will also gladly rehome the dogs together if someone has the experience and understanding of this breed – feisty, strong-willed, curious, big personality, massive prey-drive, not particularly interested in strangers or other dogs, need regular grooming, can be very vocal and also loyal, affectionate and loving.
Scooby has a stunning red longhaired coat and is intensely beautiful and adorable. He is a relatively well-adjusted dog, but will need ongoing training and socialisation. Scooby is crate-trained, well on the way to being house-trained and walks well on leash.
Scooby will need a home where he will get plenty of attention, not be left alone for long periods, have a fenced yard and very few stairs. We will NOT rehome Scooby into a family with young children or to first-time dog owners. This breed may appear cute but they are a force to be reckoned with.
