14-month-old female Maremma Belle, arrived into our care 10-days ago after she was abandoned at Lismore Central Vets.
Working together with Sue and the rest of the wonderful team at Lismore Central Vets, Belle is now desexed, fully vaccinated, wormed and tick-treated (together with being well-loved by the entire team).
Belle landed into Ricks foster-care (our Maremma-specialist), with no training whatsoever. She was running amuck but is now settling beautifully with the other Maremma’s. Rick is providing her with boundaries and intensive training in a respectful, patient & loving manner. She is very smart and is learning quickly.
Belle will need further training to adjust to working with and protecting livestock.
She can be initially reactive with other dogs, but once introduced, other dogs are her joy.
Belle is a gorgeous old soul, very affectionate and she responds especially well to women. She would suit a working livestock property with other dogs.
